Leak or overflow?
A sealed gutter can still spill water if it is blocked, has poor fall or receives more water than an outlet can discharge. Separating leakage from overflow prevents the wrong repair.
Water behind the gutter
Water marks on fascia or walls can relate to gutter position, flashing, roof-edge details, overflow or deterioration. The roof edge should be inspected rather than assuming the gutter sealant alone is at fault.
