What can sometimes be repaired?
- Isolated leaking joins and corners
- Loose or failed brackets
- A short damaged gutter section
- Selected outlets and downpipe connections
- Minor alignment or fall issues where practical
When a patch is unlikely to last
Widespread corrosion, thin metal, multiple splits, repeated sealing, distorted runs or decayed supporting fascia can make further patching poor value. The whole run and discharge path should be assessed.
Inspect during rain—or follow the evidence
Water staining, rust trails, debris lines and ponding can help identify the failure. A visible drip may originate upstream and travel along the underside before falling.
